On September 29, 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom signed California Assembly Bill 152 (“AB 152”) into law, which extends California’s Supplemental Paid Sick Leave (“SPSL”) from September 30, 2022, to December 31, 2022, implements new testing requirements, and provides relief for small businesses and nonprofits. Governor Newsom signed California Senate Bill 114 (“SB 114”) into law requiring employers who have more than 25 employees to provide Supplemental Paid Sick Leave (“SPSL”).
